How to Book your Pet Portrait Commission
Watercolour and Gouache Portraits are a wonderful way to celebrate the life of our pets. Each one is hand painted from your photo by professional UK pet artist Josie Grimes, giving care and attention to each detail. Using quality materials with each pet portrait for you to enjoy your own unique artwork for many years to come.

Step 2: Reference Photo
Next, you'll need a high-quality photograph of your pet. It's important that the photos you select capture your pet's character and provide clear visibility of their eyes and other features. In general, photos taken at your pet's eye level in natural light (outside or by a window) tend to work best. I would usually encourage you to send multiple photos so I can get a good sense of your pet and their features. This also allows us to select the most suitable picture together if you are unsure.
This step is crucial in the process—the clearer the photo, the better the final portrait will be!

Step 3: Booking
When you are ready, please reach out to me with your requirements and I can let you know my availability.
Firstly, you will need to email me photos of your pet to jessbuckett2@gmail.com I will then choose the best photo for the portrait. Select a painting size.
Once I have completed the painting I will email you a watermarked photograph of the pet portrait to make sure you are happy with it.
When you confirm that you are happy with your pet portrait, you will proceed to payment via a bank transaction.
The painting of the portrait will usually take 2 weeks depending on my workload.
